Utah Summer Vacation (2 months late)

For our summer vacation we headed out to Utah from June 7-19 to see family and have a good 10 days of non-stop partying.  The drive there wasn't bad, but they the drive home we were so exhausted, it was a long 11 hours that day. Didn't do very good getting many pictures so here's what we've got.

Lots of fun Cousin time!

Dinosaur museum, this day we were even lucky enough to get Cadin to come since he for sure knew he didn't have to work!

 One day Uncle Steven took us to his families farm and we got to ride horses and go fishing.  Unfortunately the horse pictures aren't on my phone, I'll have to try to post them another time. That was a really fun day.

 The last night in Vernal we had a fun family baseball game. It's quite interesting playing baseball with 2 year olds involved in the mix-up.

Some of the fun Vernal activities not documented by photos are:

• Cadin's Mission Homecoming
• Going Spelunking with 9 of the grand kids in tow (including MaKenzie at 6 months old) in little Brush Creek. Of course we didn't go in very far, but it was a fun adventure, finishing it off with some yummy Tin-Dins

We LOVE spending time with our cousins and the rest of the family, that is for sure.  Then after a few days of partying there, we headed out to Utah County and the first stop was Jordanelle.  We rented some fun little cabins close to the lake and played on the waverunners.  Unfortunately it was super duper windy, but we still made it fun with card games and playing at the park.

We loved spending time with all our family and building memeories! We Love you ALL.

Beggars Can't Be Choosers

Today I'm procrastinating the different things on my to do list, so I thought, Why not announce our families biggest news at the currant moment? And that would be, come December (possibly late November) we will be welcoming baby #4 to the Anderberg Family and we couldn't be more excited! As for the post title, it's that because, well honestly, and I'm not sure why, maybe it's because I loved having my birthday mid-way through the year and then Christmas 6 months later to space out the gifts and things, anyway I've never wanted to have a December baby.  We thought we were trying early enough to get an October baby, but apparently the Lord felt our family needed something different.  I've now warmed up to the idea and it will be fine, at least it's the beginning of the month.  That will be nice. The kids are all so excited, especially Addy.  She is always talking to the baby and kissing and hugging my tummy.  She's hoping for a girl, whereas, the rest of us are thinking boy. Whitney says, "Baby nummy." and I'll respond with "Yep there's a baby in my tummy." and her reply is, "NO, my nummy!" Michael Codi is wanting triplets, although we've already checked and that's not going to happen. We all can't wait, but let me just say, December sounds FOREVER away!  I kind of always thought that the more pregnancies I had the less exciting things would be, but it's not.  I get excited for every little step that happens, just as though it was the first. (Of course I know what to expect just a tad more) but nonetheless, still every exciting!

"Let Your Light so Shine"

Today is a brag post about this handsome little fellow.  There will probably be another one shortly as he will be celebrating his upcoming Kindergarten Move-up in about a week, but for now this is a different story.

Yesterday I took Michael to the bus stop, and before he got on the bus I saw him talking to his bus driver. He walks back to the car and says, "Mom, my bus driver needs to talk to you for a minute."

I'm thinking oh great, what happened, is he guilty of throwing rocks at the bus like an uncle I know did around his age? (I won't mention any names, just that I love my big brother :)). I get up to the bus and his bus driver said,

"I just want to tell you what an amazing son you have, he's great! Yesterday he helped me out.  Another child was trying to take something of mine and Michael stood up for me and told the child to stop, that that was stealing and not okay. He's just such a good boy."

That melted my heart.  There is nothing better in this world than hearing that your child is choosing the right and applying teachings your striving to implant. What an example of sharing his testimony.  I'm sure he didn't think that's what he was doing, but to me it was.  It almost brought me to tears.  He is so strong and a leader. This boy is going places! I love you Michael, you make Mom and Dad so happy each day!

We're BAACK!

Ok so it's only been 2 years since I blogged last,  but who's counting right? I've been thinking about starting it up again, especially with our move up to Spokane so if anybody wants to keep tabs and just see cute pictures of my kiddos they can.

We just celebrated Memorial Day yesterday.  And one of the coolest parts about living in Spokane is this is actually where Michael's mom grew up.  Her immediate family all left the area around 1980 after Grandpa Robert Clay passed away.  But since he passed away in 1977 he is actually buried here in Spokane along with his parents and grandparents so we were able to go and visit them and remember what great heritage we have, not only from them, but from all our loved ones that have gone before us.  Here are some of the photos.

After enjoying our time at the cemetery we went and explored Manito Park. This is at the Japanese Water Gardens, don't know why we only took one at the park, but it was fun.  Lots to do and see here.
